Finally!
We have a blog! So many of our good friends and family have a blog, and we've really enjoyed looking at them and keep saying we need to do it too. So, here we are, up and running! We have a couple events that we need to catch you all up on that's happened the last couple months.
Stitches
Grace got stitches. Dave took her on a daddy daughter date to McDonald's play land. Three hours later I was thinking to myself, "they must really be having a great time!" All the sudden, they walked through the door with a big band aid on Grace's chin and Grace holding a lollipop. Dave said they just got done with their delicious meal and Grace was jumping on chairs and fell and hit her chin on the chair. They went to the emergency room and waited for three hours! She was very brave and was so excited the next morning to call her auntie Mimi and Grandma to tell them about her chin and how brave she was for the Dr. (why is it that accidents like these always happen while Dad is watching them? ) And yes, Grace was really wearing her Cinderella outfit through all of this.

Roof Project
One of our big projects before the rain started this year was to fix our roof over our sun room. It leaks real badly and before we had a bunch of rot everywhere, we had to do something about it. Dave did his research on costs and decided he's doing this project himself. (with help from our friends, of course!) It was a messy project. The only way to get the old skylights out was choosing a weapon of their choice and bashing them out of the ceiling. Glass went everywhere. I'm still finding glass in crazy places. Job is done and looks great!
Primary Temple Trip
Our ward had a primary temple trip and I got to go with Grace. It's crazy to believe that Grace is already in Primary. It was such a fun thing for all the kids to do together learning about the temple.
Silver Creek Falls
The other week we decided to take a drive to Silver Creek and hike around. It's so beautiful there. We had a lot of fun hiking, pretending we were bats in all the awesome caves we came across, and just being our crazy self's. What a fun day!

Okay, that picture of Baterina is HILARIOUS! She's really creepy looking, I'm proud to say. Congrats on your first post of your blog. Many more to come, I hope. I love you guys and love to hear about the goings ons of the Mikkelsens!
P.S. Tell me Gracie was wearing that princess dress to the ER!
My favorite is Grace snarling like a bat. She has such an expressive face. Ours is www.millimans.blogspot.com.
Se you tomorrow!
So fun to see you pictures. Thanks for including us in your blog. Sorry we haven't seen you for so long. We are moving back to Vancouver next week. I'll give you a call and we can get together.
Love Aunt Julia
